Railways form an important part in the development of any state. A well developed network of railways reflects well on the progress of the state. The state of Goa is well connected through a network of railway system. In a state like Goa which is frequently visited by tourist all across the world a well developed railway system is very essential. Two of the major railway stations in the state are at Margao and Vasco-da-Gama.

The railway map of Goa will show you the railway lines spread across the state of Goa. Parnem, Mapusa, Maem, Old Goa to the North of Goa. Dabolim, Majorda, Saraulim, Margao to the West of Goa, Sarzora, Bali, Barcena, Concona to the South of Goa and Kolamb, Dudhsagar, Sonauli, Caranzol to the east of Goa are all well connected through railways. The red dotted parallel lines on the map show where railway lines are spread in the state.
