Calangute Baga Beach is considered as the flagship beach of Goa. It is one of the most popular of all Goa beaches. A haven for tourists, Calangute Baga Beach was earlier a fishing village which was a hot spot for hippies in the later years of the 90s. With the passage of time, Calangute Baga Beach has evolved to be one of the major beaches of Goa. The beach is often nicknamed as ‘Queen of Beaches’. The beach is located in the northern part of Goa and is believed to have been discovered by hippies. The best time to visit this well-equipped beach is from November to March.


The red soil contaminated sand coupled with the azure water, numerous beach activities allures tourists from various parts of India and of the world. The Arabian Sea in the background and cluster of palm trees act as a perfect escape from the monotony of the everyday life.
