AGONDA BEACH

As the loud, noisy, freaky Goa carnival comes to an end, you might find yourself looking for some quiet moments to rewind and replay the three days of fun-filled carnival at Goa.

What better place to be than at Goa Agonda beach. A long and lonely beach, fringed with palms trees, Goa Agonda beach comes as an ideal place to recuperate from the hangover of Goa carnival.

Not many tourists frequent Goa Agonda beach and you will find no souvenir stalls, no restaurants, nothing. So if you are going to Goa Agonda beach, it is always better to equip yourself with all the necessary items that you might want at Goa Agonda beach and if you are the adventurous type, you can hire a tent and camp the night at the Agonda beach.

CABO DE RAMA

Not far from Agonda beach is Cabo de Rama, untouched by most of the visitors in this region. The atmosphere of the fort creates a sense of history and drama that very few would fail to appreciate. The fort is named after Rama, hero of the Hindu epic Ramayana. According to the local legends, Rama stayed here with his wife Sita during the period of 12-year exile.

HOW TO REACH GOA AGONDA BEACH

It is really difficult to reach Agonda Beach because it falls a bit away from the main road and no local buses ply here. It also gives an element of solitude at the beach, as you won't find many tourists here. The best way to reach this beach is by a scooter or motorbike.

WHERE TO STAY

There are not many facilities on Goa Agonda beach as far as staying is concerned. So it is always better to stay at some guesthouses and visit Agonda beach. But if you are the adventurous type, then you can hire a tent and camp for the night on the beach, listening to the crashing of the waves.
